Red Rock State Park has been a destination for Native Americans for several millennia. Most of the ancient features found in the park are from the Sinagua culture dating back about 1100 to 1425 AD. Come and hear the fascinating story of the pre-Columbian people who lived and traveled in the park. The hike will identify the various archeological features and interpret them into the wider context of important regional Sinagua sites. You will explore ideas of other cultures that may likely have made use of the parks resources. This interpretive experience is for both the beginner and the experienced hiker, lasting between 2-2.5 hours with an elevation gain of 250 feet. Please bring water, suitable footwear and meet in the Visitor Center a little before 1:00 P.M. Hike is included with park entrance fees.
These hikes will be held on 10/15/17, 11/19/17, 12/17/17, 1/21/18, 2/18,18, 3/18/18, 4/15/18 and 5/20/18.

Want to learn the art of improv? Join the Prescott Valley Public Library’s ongoing group, “PVPL’s Everyone Improv,” which will meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Utilizing games, practice, silliness, acceptance, and bravery, you will explore all of the extraordinary places that improv can take you—with a lot of laughs along the way! The program will meet in the Prescott Valley Public Library’s Auditorium (7401 E. Civic Circle). This program is free, and no registration is required. You must be 18+ to join.
